Building Leadership Capacity to Realize Systemic Reconfiguration
Putting effective systems in place is only one-half of the systemic reconfiguration equation. What’s the rest of the story? It’s how we lead the use of those systems by supporting educators in changing their practice. Our fourth annual leadership institute focuses on the latter half of that equation. The SWFT will offer half-day intensive seminars examining and building the specific leadership skills and Blueprint competencies needed to bring about impactful change. Participants will define a leadership growth trajectory that will position leaders to successfully utilize the Blueprint’s drivers, district systems, driver systems, and building-level routines to support dramatic changes in student, teacher, and leader performance in a short amount of time.
This year’s Leadership Institute also includes an optional third day for district teams who want to stay in Ann Arbor and engage in facilitated Blueprint team planning time on June 20th.
Finally, in collaboration with GELN’s Early Literacy Task Force, this institute will also feature a one-day seminar “Essential School-Wide and Center-Wide Practices in Literacy” offered on each of the three days of the institute to Blueprint and non-Blueprint districts alike.
Note-these sessions are full on 6/18 and 6/19. Available for 6/20 only.
