October 17 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am
Format: Held virtually via Zoom; 1.5 hours.
Audience: Superintendents, Central Office Leaders, Principals/Assistant Principals, Coaches, ISD/MDE partners
Theme: Embedding SEL into Environments and Instruction
Description: Schoolwide SEL [social and emotional learning] is a systemic approach to integrating academic, social, and emotional learning across classrooms, the school building, and in collaboration with families and community partners. This approach provides a learning environment that infuses SEL into all aspects of instruction and promotes equitable outcomes for all students (CASEL, 2019). This series will focus on embedding SEL into our practice with adults and students to support a healthy school climate and promote high-quality instruction.
