Data Analysis and Establishing Root Cause

March 12, 2020 @ 9:00 am - March 26, 2020 @ 12:00 pm

Live Video Conferencing (LVC) replaces much of our traditionally offered face-to-face sessions offered in previous years. For the convenience of our participants, these courses are offered in much like a live video webinar format (Live Video Conferencing) with a Statewide Field Team live instructor. They will be offered in short segments (three hours) every other week. Each series has a distinct day of the week. These will be identified in each session description. Materials presented in these courses are available to participants on the Statewide Field Team’s Online Learning Platform.

This course is offered electronically using live video conferencing equipment. Participants engage with each other and with the facilitator in live interactions from the convenience of their own district location using SWFT provided software. Participants must have a device with a camera and mic.

Assessing Needs is a process used to examine a district’s or building’s strengths and weaknesses in order to strategically sustain the strengths and to develop a plan to address the challenges. To identify strengths, weaknesses, and challenges schools and district must engage in a data analysis process that includes uncovering and confirming root causes. This course will explore the nuances of determining root causes that lead to meaningful action planning.
