Creating, Monitoring, and Adjusting an Action Plan
January 23, 2020 @ 9:00 am - February 6, 2020 @ 12:00 pm
Live Video Conferencing (LVC) replaces much of our traditionally offered face-to-face sessions offered in previous years. For the convenience of our participants, these courses are offered in much like a live video webinar format (Live Video Conferencing) with a Statewide Field Team live instructor. They will be offered in short segments (three hours) every other week. Each series has a distinct day of the week. These will be identified in each session description. Materials presented in these courses are available to participants on the Statewide Field Team’s Online Learning Platform.
This course is offered electronically using live video conferencing equipment. Participants engage with each other and with the facilitator in live interactions from the convenience of their own district location using SWFT provided software. Participants must have a device with a camera and mic.
Assessing Needs is a process used to examine a district’s or building’s strengths, weaknesses, and challenges in order to strategically sustain the strengths and to develop a plan to address the challenges. Schools and districts must create, monitor and adjust robust and meaningful action plans to create sustainable change. Action plans are developed by engaging in data-driven conversations about the systems, routines and supports needed to create improvement in student learning. Monitoring and adjustment steps are intentionally included in the action plans to provide ongoing feedback to the improvement process. This course will explore tools and resources that support schools and districts to create impactful action plans, monitor their implementation, and strategically adjust course based on the data collected.
